Jeffrey Wishart

Jeffrey Wishart is an adjunct faculty professor and faculty associate in the Automotive Systems Concentration at The Polytechnic School in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU. Dr. Wishart conducts research and development on products and services in the areas of energy, environment, and advanced transportation. He has authored numerous papers and reports on these topics, including advanced powertrain vehicles, automated driving vehicles, electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and advanced energy storage systems.
Dr. Wishart has more than 18 years of experience in the advanced transportation and energy areas. In addition to automotive industry positions, focusing primarily on testing and research of advanced powertrains for the U.S. Department of Energy, Dr. Wishart also worked for several years at a utility company in Queensland, Australia, conducting research into emerging energy technologies and also in Asset Management. He is the Chair of the V&V Task Force under the SAE On-Road Automated Driving (ORAD) Committee.
A Canadian, Dr. Wishart has a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the Institute for Integrated Energy Systems at the University of Victoria, a master's degree in engineering physics from the University of Saskatchewan, and a bachelor's degree in engineering physics (mechanical engineering minor) from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
