Extreme Fast Charging-Capable EV Modeling

To increase the range of electric vehicles (EVs) and reduce the time per charging event, the extreme fast-charging (XFC) EV is at a rate of up to 400 kW, thereby reducing the charging time to 15 minutes. A literature review and research were first conducted on the Chevrolet Bolt, analyzing powertrain and the electric storage system (ESS). The next step is to research on the first-ever, in-production XFC-capable EV, the Porsche Mission E, model its electrical architecture in Autonomie and study the charging and ESS degradation of this modern technology.
