Utilizing a Machine Learning Algorithm for Wideband Channel Estimation and Signal Prediction

The objective of this research project is to use a software defined radio (SDR) to build a wideband channel estimation dataset and show its usage with machine learning algorithms to predict channels and localize users for fast and latency-intolerant communications. The researchers use tools developed by existing literature to understand the dynamics of channel estimation. The researchers then modify GNU Radio and MATLAB environments to develop channel estimation methods and build large datasets of channel estimates. Current works focus on centralized schemes where users can communicate with each other directly. Our contribution is to build a dataset for cooperative systems.
