From Powders to Power: Blade-Coated CsPbX₃ Films for Efficient Alphavoltaic and Optoelectronics Applications

A scalable blade-coating technique is demonstrated for the fabrication of cesium lead halide perovskite (CsPbX₃, X = Cl, Br, I) thin films, targeting alphavoltaic and optoelectronic applications. Mechanochemically synthesized powders are dissolved in ethanol and combined with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) to optimize rheology and enable uniform thick-film deposition under ambient conditions. The resulting films exhibit enhanced thickness for effective alpha particle absorption while maintaining uniformity and surface quality. This method offers a low-cost alternative to vacuum-based deposition, enabling large-area perovskite film production for advanced micropower and optoelectronic devices.
