Characterizing Glioblastoma Subtypes Using Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy
Electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a noninvasive technique that measures the electrical properties of biological systems. This research investigates whether EIS can distinguish glioblastoma subtypes using two human-derived cell lines, GBM 22 and GBM 115. Impedance spectra will be collected across a range of frequencies using a Spiospec system to analyze differences in conductivity related to cellular behavior. Identifying subtype-specific electrical signatures may provide a quantitative method for tumor characterization and support the development of improved diagnostic technologies.
