Mixed Reality Hardware for Hands On Virtual Science Labs

Virtual reality and its integration into online education could make online lab courses better reflect an in-person lab experience. There is a great opportunity for virtual remote education, especially since the recent COVID-19 pandemic. This project aims to continue development of a virtual titration lab experiment that allows for a student to better replicate an in-lab experience. For this project, software was developed in Unity for getting data from a physical burette via a potentiometer and virtual chemistry education labs were developed to work in tandem with this hardware. This work could be expanded to other disciplines.
