Programmable 2D Perovskite Memristors for Computing Hardware

Implementing artificial intelligence on conventional hardware is extremely energy-intensive. While memory devices like halide perovskite memristors are promising, they often suffer from poor stability and unreliable performance. This research focuses on fabricating and characterizing memristors using a Dion-Jacobson phase two-dimensional perovskite using low-cost solution processing. The orientation of the perovskite phase is controllable based on processing parameters and the use of additives. This project aims to demonstrate reversible voltage-activated switching of mobile ions, validating its potential for creating stable, energy-efficient hardware for neuromorphic computing.
