Toward Understanding and the Development of a Thermoelectric Generator

Waste heat is a large problem for all who are interested in energy conservation; large quantities of energy are lost in the form of heat through the process of power plants, engines, and much more. One possibility is utilizing this waste heat and converting it into usable energy. The thermoelectric generator is a device that can convert a thermal difference into a voltage. The researcher will explore components of this generator, testing different materials and temperature differences and recording results. This better understanding will help to increase efficiency and explore new applications to better the world.
