Assessing Spectrophotometry for Regenerative Medicine Biomanufacturing Biomonitoring

Regenerative medicine utilizes living cells to replace or repair damaged or diseased tissue. Living cells are constantly changing and reacting to their environment, therefore the manufacturing process to get those cells requires techniques for careful monitoring of the dynamic situation. Spectrophotometry is a candidate for such a technique, as it is non-invasive and can analyze the changes of concentrations of important culture components. This research aims to evaluate spectrophotometry as a reliable tool to monitor cell culture health and characteristics.
