Jitendran Muthuswamy

Jitendran (Jit) Muthuswamy is an associate professor in the School of Biological and Health System's Engineering and directs the Neural Microsystems laboratory. He obtained his BTech degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India and his Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. He did his post-doctoral fellowship in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. His research interests are in the areas of Neural interfaces and Neuromodulation. He is also an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Neuroscience, and PLOS One and emeritus Associate editor of IEEE Transactions of Neural systems and Rehabilitation Engineering.
