Urban Climate Data Visualization and Exploration Tool

This project aims to develop a user-friendly, open-source, web-based visualization and exploration interface in WebGL to map and analyze urban climate data. The tool will allow users to freely explore datasets relevant to cities’ urban form and function at fine spatial scales and combine (or join and mask) ancillary datasets without downloading data or installing browser plugins. Thus, advancing knowledge on where to target heat mitigation strategies in cities to minimize health risks for vulnerable populations by overlaying various heat, land use, socio-demographic, and socio-economic data.
