Frederick Garrett

Fred Garrett is the Director of the Guidance, Navigation and Control Department at Orbital Sciences Corporation.  In this position, he is responsible for the guidance, navigation, aerodynamics, actuator and control system designs for Orbital's fleet of satellite and target launch vehicle systems.  Prior to this position, Fred was the Manager of the Design, Analysis and Simulation groups in the GNC department,  a Principle Engineer and the Lead GNC Engineer for Orbital's Target Launch Vehicle.  From 1995 through 2001, Fred was a manager in various divisions of AT&T and Qwest Corporations.  From 1992 to 1993, Fred was an Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Arizona State University.
