Assessment of Quali and Takayanagi Models for Evaluation of 2D Membrane Mechanical Properties

Security icon, disabled. A blue padlock, locked.

This project aims to quantitatively assess the modulus of elasticity of carbon fiber nanotube 2D membranes using Quali and Takayanagi mathematical models and comparing the mechanical properties calculated using those models to mechanical properties collected from Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) in order to determine the accuracy and viability. The ability to calculate the modulus of elasticity using a mathematical model is of great importance for reducing costs that would normally be allocated for the use of AFM.
