Fracture and Toughness Analysis of CNT Network Interphase Properties in DRY Buckypaper Membrane Using Atomic Force Microscopy

The purpose of this research is to understand the macroscale fracture toughness of carbon nanotube network interphase in DRY Buckypaper membrane at the nanoscale level using atomic force microscopy. Obtaining quantitative data on the interphase properties at the nanoscale level and analyzing the effects of the interphase on fracture assists in the development of a multiscale understanding of damage-tolerant nanocomposite materials.
