An Interactive AR/VR Game Framework for Autonomous Quadcopter Development and Pilot Training.

Micro aerial vehicle development processes can be adversely affected during testing and implementation of flight control systems. The purpose of this research is to cut down the time, energy and cost that goes into repairs and maintenance during flight tests. A proposed solution is the use of visual simulation by creating an interactive virtual environment almost portraying real-world characteristics for training flight control algorithms before deployment into the real world. The whole process will involve the use of HTC vive tracking system. Future research will include the use of reinforcement learning techniques to adequately train these flight control algorithms.
