Using Intrathecal Methods to Improve Photoacoustic Imaging of Contrast Agents in Rats

This research project aims to enhance photoacoustic imaging (PAI) of chemical nanosensor diffusion by investigating the intrathecal injection of contrast agents in rats. The objective is to improve the delivery of these nanosensors through the blood-brain barrier while maintaining sensitivity and specificity in PAI detection. By optimizing nanosensor delivery and developing stable PAI probes, this research has the potential to revolutionize healthcare diagnostics, particularly in neurological diseases. The study addresses the challenge of efficient nanosensor delivery, offering a less invasive alternative to current delivery methods and advancing technology for neurological activity imaging in the preclinical stage.
