OpenFPGA-NOC: Push Button Flow for Automatic Generation of Custom NoC-based Reconfigurable Chips
As the demand for flexible and high-performance chips for complex and data-intensive applications continues to grow, Network-on-Chip (NoC)-based Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) offer a scalable solution. FPGAs are reconfigurable chips that can be used to deploy applications with high efficiency (low latency and low energy consumption) in both datacenter and edge environments. We are building OpenFPGA-NoC, which is a push-button tool that automates the generation of NoC-based FPGAs. It also offers a customized flow for configuring these generated FPGAs with user designs. This work significantly reduces the barriers to developing complex NoC-based FPGAs.
