Patient-Adaptive Robotic Balance Training for Lower-Extremity Stroke Rehabilitation

Post-stroke balance deficits can significantly impede daily activities and increase the risk of falls, compromising both independence and recovery. This research investigates the effectiveness of patient-adaptive robotic balance training in improving postural and lower body stability for stroke survivors. By utilizing robotic platforms to induce perturbations and provide real-time feedback, this study challenges patients’ balance and facilitates targeted training. Consequently, it holds the potential to improve post-stroke quality of life and alleviate balance-related challenges experienced during everyday activities.
