Tracking Cardiovascular Health in Heart Failure Patients Using Digital Health Technology

Heart failure (HF) is a chronic and progressive disease which is usually monitored through serial measurements of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) limitations. While tracking CRF is an effective method of monitoring cardiovascular health, the process of obtaining CRF measurements can be expensive, inconvenient, and non-naturalistic. Thus, this project seeks to create an alternative measure for tracking cardiovascular health by monitoring vitals in HF patients using wearable technology in conjunction with machine learning algorithms. This would create a more affordable and accessible method of tracking cardiovascular health that would be able to capture health data in naturalistic settings.
