Synthesis and Characterization of Lithium‐Rich Anti‐Perovskites for Next‐Generation Solid‐State Batteries

An aqueous-based process is applied to synthesize anti‐perovskite electrolytes (Li2OHCl) for high-performance and non-flammable battery technology using a rapid, printable, and scalable method at a low production cost. Multiple binders and stoichiometric ratios were tested via open-air blade coating, yielding dense, crack-free Li2OHCl films and a stable anti-perovskite phase with minimal impurities. The study examines precursor composition and processing conditions on crystallographic structure to achieve an ion conducting phase. X-ray diffraction reveals the presence of the desired anti-perovskite phase, achieved through optimized stoichiometric control and uniform crystallization during drying.
