Matthew Green
Associate Professor, School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy
Matthew Green is an Associate Professor with tenure within Chemical Engineering at ASU and the Director of the Center for Negative Carbon Emissions. He is also the Associate Director of the Biodesign Institute Center for Sustainable Macromolecular Materials and Manufacturing. He joined the faculty at ASU in 2014 as an assistant professor. His research is focused on the design and synthesis of novel, ion-containing polymers to be used in applications such as water purification, carbon dioxide capture, nanocomposites, and micellar solution assemblies. He obtained bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry (2007), and a doctorate in chemical engineering (2011) at Virginia Tech. Then, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Delaware in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department.
