Modifying the Structure and Capacitive Performance of Holey Graphene by Microwave-Thermal Pretreatment

The purpose of this project is to research the effect of microwave pretreatment on the size, population and distribution of nanosized holes as well as the relationship between pretreatment conditions and electrochemical performance of reduced holey graphene oxide. By studying the cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), the nanosized holes on graphene sheets will able to be controlled by a designed pretreatment and microwave-assisted chemical etching (MACE) method, which have a potential to further improve the electrochemical properties on energy storage device performance.
