Effects of Supersaturation On Drug Release Rate For A Polyurethane Film

This project is directed at developing a novel drug delivery system (DDS) that consistently releases drug to a targeted location over days. By utilizing supersaturation to maintain a constant diffusion gradient and a tunable polyurethane film, it’s possible to maintain consistent diffusion over a long period of time. Observing varying levels of supersaturation on the polyurethane film will allow the researcher to determine how supersaturation levels affect release characteristics. These results will determine the optimal supersaturation level for further experimentation.
