Pandemic Agent-Based Modeling in a Learning Environment

The objective of this project is to design and model transmission dynamics of COVID-19 in a closed learning environment for the purpose of analyzing and comparing methods for alternative classroom configurations. In particular, an agent-based simulation model is developed with real-life class registration data from Cornell University to analyze the impact of splitting classes to reduce transmission among students taking the same class. The findings can be used to assess the effectiveness of splitting classes and some guidelines on how to implement splitting strategies.
