Utilizing 3D Acoustic Properties of Acoustic Metamaterials to Make Atmospheric Water Harvesting More Efficient
Water scarcity is the result of dry climates and remote regions across the globe. Atmospheric water harvesting is the most common solution to this problem. However, current methods have proven to be inefficient in lower humidity. There is a lot of trouble condensing the humidity to a certain dew point in places with lower humidity. This research aims to use acoustic metamaterials and their properties to make atmospheric water harvesting more efficient. By utilizing a heatsink and desiccant-based experimental setup, this research more specifically focuses on the 3D acoustic properties of the heatsink to enhance adsorption and desorption properties.
