Interpolating Missing Synthetic Aperture Sonar Measurements

In our work, we evaluated different interpolation methods to enable the reconstruction of Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) images from limited angular measurements. If it succeeds, this work will inform practitioners and researchers to reconstruct SAS images with good fidelity, even with limited measurements. For future work, we foresee benefits in approaching the problem using more real data and testing how the latest neural network advancement can be incorporated to enable better interpolation and reconstruction.
