Design of High-Frequency Large Intelligent Surfaces Using Reflectarrays
With advancing technology, there has been a constant demand for increased cellular data rate and connectivity as number of connected users is expected to be 28.5 billion by 2022. This research focuses on design and implementation of large intelligent surfaces (LIS) using reflectarray antennas that can be implemented for 5G and beyond wireless networks. The electronic re-configurability of antenna array has been developed using PIN diodes and biased using microcontroller. A sensing array network around the LIS has been designed and simulated for enabling efficient detection of incoming signals.
