An Investigation of the Effect of Storage Temperature on Secondary Battery Shelf Life

Energy icon, disabled. An orange lightning bolt.

The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the difference in the battery capacity in terms of Remaining Useful Life (RUL) depending on the storage temperature. Charging and discharging the secondary battery will be conducted with Galvanostatic Cycling with Potential Limitation (GCPL) and the Galvanostatic Intermittent Titration Technique (GITT) methods in different battery conditions and test conditions. This research will lead to finding out the conditions that affect battery life when storing. Furthermore, it will be interesting to investigate how it affects differently those batteries that have different remaining capacities when being stored.
