Microjet and Vibration Assisted (MVA) Fluidized Bed

A novel Microjet and Vibration Assisted (MVA) fluidized bed, that enhances the fluidization quality of nanosized particles by increasing the fluidized bed height, is used to enable improved control of CO2. Testing is performed by examining the use of different operating modes of the MVA system, including superficial gas flow (a)alone, (b) with vibration, (c) with microjet assistance, and (d) with both vibration and microjet assistance. Fluidization is greatly improved when the dual effects of vibration and microjet assistance are used.  Thus, the MVA method is expected to enhance CO2 capture efficiency.
