Modification of SnO2 for the Photocatalytic Reduction of Atmospheric CO2
This research aims to find a way to make tin oxide more effective in its use of sunlight to convert atmospheric carbon dioxide into useful products. Through its use of atmospheric carbon dioxide, this process could reduce pollution levels and introduce a way to sustainably create high-value polymers. By modifying the structure and properties of the tin oxide semiconductor, it is possible to increase its efficiency and if successful could be viable for implementation in the production of polymers.
