Analysis of Heat Generation and Dissipation of a Raspberry Pi Pico in a Vacuum

At present, the heat generated by satellites is almost wholly due to the electrical systems they contain. This has become a larger issue in recent years, particularly in relation to miniature CubeSat designs, and is in increasing need of a solution. The first step in creating these solutions is knowing what parameters are required, which is addressed by this project’s heat transfer simulation. Through the quantification of the heat generated by a Raspberry Pi Pico, the requirements of cooling solutions can be found, and these solutions could be tested using the data collected here.
