Characterization of Glass Beads: Flowability and Angle of Repose Part II

Characterization of particulate process and product design is a difficult field because of the unique properties and behaviors of particles that differ from gasses and liquids. The purpose of this research is to understand what factors affect flowability. For this study flowability was measured using the Freeman FT4 Powder Rheometer. This study concluded that there is a critical range size around 70 microns where any value larger than this results in a jump in the energy requirement.
