Dynamic Thrust Testing Tools

The goal of this project is creating tools to more effectively and economically measure dynamic thrust, a measure of how the propulsive forces of an aircraft change with airspeed. By better understanding this information, parameters that can influence the dynamic thrust, such as propeller twist and number of blades, engine type and sizing, etc. can be optimized. The end goal of this optimization is enabling faster, more efficient aircraft through better data.
