Aqueous Synthesis and Rapid Printing of Li₂OHCl Thin Films for Solid-State Batteries

This project investigates a scalable fabrication route for antiperovskite-based Li₂OHCl solid electrolytes using an aqueous-based synthesis with polyvinylpyrrolidone binder. The goal is to develop a sinter-free, open-air method to produce uniform thin films suitable for solid-state battery applications. X-ray diffraction confirms the formation of the desired crystalline phase corresponding to the antiperovskite structure. Glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy further verifies the presence of key elements in the coated films. Ongoing efforts are studying the electrochemical performance and environmental stability of the films to enable operational validation along with interface stability for battery integration.
