Ketone Analysis Through Non-Invasive Skin Biosensor

The measurement of ketones (FDA-approved fat oxidation biomarkers) allows for proactive weight management interventions, as well as for the management of conditions such as diabetes, obesity, anorexia, epilepsy, and more. There is a limited selection of ketone sensors available, many of which are extremely invasive (involving blood or urine tests) and tend to only measure the ketones at a single point in time. The goal of this project is to allow for the continuous monitoring of ketone levels that pass through the skin using a passive, non-invasive sensor, thus eliminating the need for blood tests and urinalysis.
