Adaptable Resistance Measuring Chamber for In Vivo Translation of Integrated Micropipette System
The Smith lab has developed a fluorescence-guided micropipette system for neuronal subtype identification prior to patch clamping. However, challenges arise when preparing the system for in vivo, as the absence of a conductive media prevents positioning the fiber optic within the micropipette. To address this, an external resistance measurement system will be created to correctly position the integrated fiber optic into the micropipette, ensuring precise alignment, and enabling the technology to be translatable.
