Adventures of Stolen Credentials

Criminals in underground markets pose a huge threat to society by secretly sharing and/or selling account credentials from platform-to-platform in a short amount of time. With the number of account information being spread in these underground forums growing every year, to bring the percentage increase to a halt, this study will be investigating the pathways that stolen credentials can take. Studying the underground forums will allow for the understanding of the economical standpoint the cybercriminals participate in, in order to create a timeline of events to provide a better understanding of why securing account information is crucial.
