Swelling Behavior of Single-Layered Polyurethane Films for Optimized Drug Delivery

Polyurethane polymers play a pivotal role in controlled drug delivery by regulating drug diffusion and release kinetics. This study investigates the swelling behavior of Polyurethane (PPU) 4 and Polyurethane (PPU) 10 to assess how water absorption affects drug transport properties. By analyzing swelling ratios, this research provides valuable data for optimizing polymer-based drug delivery systems, ensuring more predictable and controlled therapeutic outcomes. Advancements in this field could enhance the design of transdermal and implantable drug delivery technologies, improving patient care and treatment efficacy across various medical applications.
