Optimization of Carbon Ink for Reducing Critical Materials Usage in Semiconductor Devices

This research aims to explore the properties of carbon electrodes in perovskite solar modules (PSMs) and compare it with the more commonly used, yet more expensive and less abundant, silver electrodes. This research also aims to optimize the carbon electrode by creating and testing a carbon ink consisting of different forms of carbon and binder formulas with a scalable blade coating method in open air. By understanding these formulas and using scalable processing methods, PSMs and semiconductor devices could become more affordable and deployable, which would therefore allow for a cleaner future.
