Formation of Heterostructure Nanoscrolls from 2D Materials for Enhanced Optoelectronic Performance

Semiconducting 2D transition-metal dichalcogenide materials, especially MoS2 and WS2, have been widely researched recently due to their promising characteristics for applications for electronic and optoelectronic devices. Heterostructures of stacked 2D materials have further enhanced properties. This research project aims to make heterostructures of MoS2and WS2and form nanoscroll geometries and to study their possible enhancement in optoelectronic performance and structural reinforcement.
