Optimizing Transdermal Drug Delivery: a Computational Sensitivity Analysis Approach

Skin patches provide a convenient method for delivering medication steadily over time, but their design requires precise engineering. This research utilizes mathematical models to identify the key factors influencing their effectiveness, including drug diffusion through the patch material, permeability through the skin, and elimination rates. Through computer simulations, these variables will be systematically tested to assess their impact on drug delivery. The findings will enhance patch design by improving precision, minimizing trial and error in development, and increasing patient ease of use. By optimizing these factors, this study aims to contribute to more personalized and efficient transdermal drug delivery systems.
