SolarSPELL BMET Library

Across the world, clinics and hospitals receive donated medical equipment. Oftentimes, the donated equipment has no user or repair manuals, and thus are unusable in places that most need it. The SolarSPELL, which stands for solar-powered educational learning library, is an offline digital library that provides a curated set of information that can be accessed anywhere around the world with the use of a WiFi hotspot. The research team is building upon an existing SolarSPELL library for biomedical equipment technicians (BMET) by obtaining user manuals, repair guides, and more, to be included within the offline digital library.
