System Support for Protecting Visual Privacy in Augmented Reality
As augmented reality mobile applications become more ingrained in everyday life, so do privacy concerns regarding these applications, the objective of the proposed research is the development of a framework that will protect users’ visual data while they are using such applications. The current model separates applications into two distinct processes network and visual, and then restricts and monitors communication between the two, ensuring any visual data is protected. Work has begun making this framework accessible through various platforms and engines used to create mobile augmented reality applications. Automating the deployment process of the framework, making it accessible to developers.
