Producing Printable LiPON Based Solid-State Electrolyte Thin Film Using Open-Air Processing

Sustainability icon, disabled. A green leaf.

Lithium phosphorus oxynitride (LiPON) is recognized as a solid-state electrolyte with significant advantages over traditional liquid electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries. This study focuses on analyzing various LiPON formulations and their ionic conductivity in comparison to other established solid electrolytes. Such conductivity is essential for determining the efficiency of solid-state electrolytes (SSEs). Factors influencing these outcomes include coating quality, solution preparation methods, and sintering processes, each of which can either enhance or impair performance.
