Optimization of Tesla Valve Geometries for High-Efficiency Passive Cooling Systems

Energy icon, disabled. An orange lightning bolt.

This research optimizes Tesla valve geometries to enhance passive cooling performance by increasing flow resistance asymmetry. By varying structural parameters such as angle and depth, the study aims to identify designs with the highest diodicity—maximizing forward-to-reverse flow resistance ratios. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations in ANSYS Fluent will be used to evaluate pressure drops and flow characteristics. The methodology includes a literature review, 3D CAD modeling, and iterative design refinements. The anticipated outcomes will contribute to energy-efficient, maintenance-free cooling solutions applicable across multiple industries.
