Recently, there has been a revival in hypersonic vehicle research because such vehicles will significantly reduce the cost to orbit, as well as revolutionize global transportation. The research conducted investigates the relationship between the control and vehicle design via computational modeling. The vehicle in question has an unstable plant with a pole and a zero in the left half-plane, making the system unstable. A controller was proposed and modeled in MATLAB. Control characteristics were compared against physical properties. In future research, a solution will be implemented for the control of a stealthy hypersonic air vehicle without comprising the system’s robustness.
