Ligament Breakup in a Sheer Flow

Data icon, disabled. Four grey bars arranged like a vertical bar chart.

The goal of this research is to create a database of how a ligament, or a string of fluid, breaks up into droplets from an external flow. To create a model of this breakup, different parameters of the ligament will be changed, simulated, and analyzed. By creating this database, it makes further research feasible because without a model, the time it takes to simulate this breakup is too high. After sufficient data is analyzed, machine learning can be used to create a model for future research.
