Korwave: Wearable, Seizure Detection Headband

Health icon, disabled. A red heart with a cardiac rhythm running through it.

Korwave is a wearable, seizure detecting brain monitor for children with Epilepsy. Utilizing Bayesian machine learning techniques and a novel dry electrode, Korwave is a scalp EEG (Electroencephalogram) that is designed to wirelessly detect and report seizures to caretakers and the patient’s neurologist. Korwave’s design is unique in that it was built to look like a headband or headphones that a user would normally wear on a day-to-day basis, allowing it to blend into its environment and reduce the stigma associated with headgear.
