Integrating Mutation Signaling Pathways into Comprehensive Somatic Mutation Profiles

Pathway research provides clear evidence to the importance of signaling pathways to construct networks that catch pathway alterations to find identifiable and treatment-targetable patterns in certain cancers. Using datasets from the PanCancer Atlas, this research integrates these essential pathways into the current OncoMerge program, which currently only integrates protein-affecting mutations (PAMs), copy number alterations (CNAs), gene fusions. This study contributes to the cancer research pipeline, to understanding cancer gene regulatory networks, and to bridging the gap between raw data and big-picture downstream analysis like mutation detection and precision medicine. Future work involves increasing working datasets and refining program accuracy.
