Epileptic Seizure Detection and Prediction

Health icon, disabled. A red heart with a cardiac rhythm running through it.

Epilepsy is the third most common neurological disorder in the United States. Despite continuous research efforts, 30% of those with epilepsy have uncontrolled seizures, and its unpredictability can become disabling. This project will analyze EEG data to detect, and ultimately predict the oncoming of epileptic seizures utilizing machine learning tools and algorithms. This project will set the framework for combining current research efforts to evaluate if any improvement can be obtained.
